Before my next trip to the UK, I did a market research on the required car. I chose a car rental from Arnold Clark company, which also offered an additional driver for a relatively average price. The approximate price in the offer at that time was around 280 AU$ / 6 days. A couple of days later - already making a reservation, I entered the same offer. Without noticing anything suspicious - I made a reservation (together with full insurance, paying 490 AUD). Since I had done it straight away from the companies before, it seemed that a deposit of 100 dollars was also included. Only after using the car was I told by the company that I had not paid the deposit and nothing (100 AUD) would be returned to me. By contacting booking. com, sending them a market research (picture with a specific offer without a date),as well as showing with my finger the current price for the same offer (still available and at an even lower price) the answer was negative and in order not to admit my own or the system error, I asked for proof with the order date, which of course I did not have. What can ordinary mortals do? Be more careful and share so that others do not fall. Let's be cursed - just leave as it came.
