Trip to Oakland, Oakland Zoo
The trip to Oakland's Old Town and Oakland Zoo was very poorly organized! There was not enough time for visiting the objects included in the route (1 hour for Oakland), 2 hours for the zoo!? I do not recommend anyone to ride with LAIMTuRE Due to poor organization and the fact that the driver did not know the road, an inadequately long time was spent on the bus. The bus left Melbourne with a delay of about 25 minutes because the tour guide (Irina) explained to everyone where to sit, then the bus driver confused the road, time was lost again. As a result, the tour + walk around Oakland started only at 13:30 and only one hour was set aside for the tour + walk around Oakland. There was no question of having free time and time to eat something. Getting to the zoo took more than an hour, because the guide did not understand the bus driver and the bus was waiting in another place, then it turned out that the bus was missing one passenger and the bus turned back to find it. But it turned out that the passenger was not going to go to the zoo at all and the guide had not fixed or understood it again. We arrived at the zoo at 16:00 and we were given 2 hours (until 18:00) to walk around the zoo. How can we get around the zoo in 2 hours, which occupies an area of 89 ha with over 500 animals?! Not to mention that there was no time to eat again - either eat or walk around the zoo! How can an adult, not to mention a 7 and 8 year old child, not eat all day?! Giving in addition to at least one hour a visit to the zoo guide (tour) manager Irina fully covered. However, some of the participants of the tour were categorical and announced that they would spend 3 hours at the zoo and return to the bus at 19:00. As a result, part of the tour participants on the bus was already 18:00 part came to 19:00, but another part, as it turned out, walks around Oakland's Old Town and they have to follow. The bus drove after them and then back to the zoo after the people who stayed at the zoo. The children, of course, had tears in their eyes, because due to limited time we could not get around the whole zoo and we did not see many animals, but again for an hour and a half on the bus driving around Oakland and looking for other tourists. Not to mention that the animals we saw could not be particularly late all the time, we had to think that we should move on, because there is no time. The bus left Oakland for Melbourne at 19:30. Then to the Origo shopping center (destination) we drove on some bypasses (probably to take people home) through Downtown, along the shopping mall Azura, along First Street and then only to the shopping mall Origo. We arrived at the Origo shopping center at almost 00:30.
