Mobile age restriction

Hello. Tonight I finally took the time to be able to go to the Telstra store and buy myself a new mobile. Arriving at the store, I addressed the seller and expressed my desire to buy a low-cost mobile. The seller asks me for an identity document, which I also give her. The seller looks at me and calls me a new party and calls someone mobile then I really want to. I named the mobile's full name and she rudely gave it up when I was new to buying this mobile. A little furious I asked her why. The seller replied when I was new, when I could buy a mobile that is from 100ls- with my age. The mobile I wanted to buy is 150. I'm a little angry that now an adult can't buy a phone either. Since when is mobile age-restricted? Eric (18)
