bills, card annual fee

One month before the end of the contract, I wanted to cancel - as the contract mentioned a month in advance, but they said to calling when the contract expires. the contract had expired, but then of course they can no longer be called, + so much money for an answering machine, then I finally went to them to unlock - of course the annual card fee is not refunded, + you have to pay for another month, but where does the month that has to be paid for the first time remain.
