Unpleasant situation with a gynecologist
I will share my experience, this is a letter I wrote to VCA Plavieni. Hello, I am writing to you due to the fact that on Friday (24. 03. 2017) I found myself in a very unpleasant situation with gynecologist Inese Potapenkova. When I called on Tuesday to sign up for gynecological ultrasonography as soon as possible, the operator praised Inese Potapenkova, a gynecologist from Plavnieki. As far as I needed an ultrasound, I agreed without thinking for a long time. Needless to say, this was a paid visit and I was waiting for a visit to a competent specialist to carry out the examinations. I will start with the fact that when entering the office, the gynecologist did not greet me and did not even ask anything. I undressed and she did a standard sonography, asked two questions and was not told anything about what is seen in the sonography. Then I got dressed, wipes to wipe I had to ask myself, to which I answered quite indifferently. When I was dressed, Inese Potapenkova just handed me a sheet with the ultrasound taken and the "doctor's report" and it looked like I could go. Then I asked what was visible there, if all was well, she replied that I had polycystic ovaries, which raised another question for me — what is it? She answered me in an unpleasant tone - it is already a consultation! which made me realize that I must now go to pay again, so that I may have an understanding of what was revealed to me. Then she just said that if I want to be with the children in the future, then I have to think about it all and I'm gone. when I left the doctor, I started crying because of the rude attitude, because I kindly asked the doctor who is with me and talks to me as if I had to pay for every sentence on her part. And the best was when I looked at what is written in that "conclusion", an almost blank page with three letters of PCO, where nothing is described. I just have the feeling that I have come a long way for free, paid money and spent even the least amount of time on such an unpleasant specialist who doesn't care about patients at all. I was in the mood to go to this gynecologist if all went well, but as a result I had to cry and endure such an unpleasant attitude. Besides, after my note, there were no more - I saw it myself in the list. Now I have the test results, which I can throw away in the trash, because nothing is written there so that another gynecologist can understand something. I really don't understand what I'm paying money for if that's the way I'm treated. I would like to add that my visit to Inese Potapenkova took me a maximum of 4 minutes with all the undressing, dressing up and our so-called "nice conversation". I understand, of course, that her responsibilities in performing ultrasonography may not include making any comments, but she, as a specialist, should do so given that money is being paid. There could at least be courtesy. And yet, you may think I am a polite patient, but, in fact, I am writing a complaint for the first time in my life and would never have thought that it would involve anything as simple as ultrasonography. With all this, I want this incident to be taken into account and the visit of another girl, just as young, not to end with tears and a doctor's efforts just to get money
