General bank attitude

I would like to share with you the general attitude of SWEDBANK. For 7 years now I have been issued a "fixed payment credit card" by this bank (originally called an EGO card). The bank has a stable turnover every month and I have never delayed any payments to them. Initially, when concluding a contract for this card, the most advantageous credit card interest rate at that time was 23%. After a few years, the situation in the market changed and I found that after the priced interest rate for this card starts from 20%. Then it is written request to reduce the interest rate on this card. However, I received the following response: "Hello. Unfortunately, the rate of an Ego card concluded earlier cannot be changed. The rate specified in the contract you sign when you receive the card is fixed and it is not possible to change it. Sincerely, Edgars Audzers A / S Hansabanka " It was still in 2007 Another 1.5-2 years later the situation in the credit market changed and ScandinavianBank decided to raise the interest rate on this card from the price list. Accordingly, I increased from 23% to 24%, respectively. Today, the interest rate on the card at the price list is from 17% and as written on their own website "The interest rate is applied to each customer individually and depends on the customer's credit history and loyalty to ScandinavianBank. ". Let me remind you that I am a long-term customer and without payment delays. I am even included in ScandinavianBank's special service program. Then it is repeatedly a request for me to repeatedly reduce the interest rate. I did it electronically. After 4 (!) days I received a reply that a special form application must be filled out. This speed of response is probably related to the fact that I am in the bank's "Special Service Program", they also started the advertising campaign "SLOW Europe". I have filled in this application and as a result I have received a reply after several days that it is not possible to reduce the rate. This is my story about this bank, with which I have been cooperating for many years. And this time it's not about some big losses because of its interest rates (in monetary terms there are already only a few lats a month), but simply about the principle.
