Chaotic Recruitment Process
I am referring to a job advertisement for a vacancy in a customer service specialist at Milkyway Distribution Europe. On behalf of the company, Viktorija Salinieka invited me to a telephone interview, which turned out to be an Skype Chat for about an hour (which I was not ready for because I was preparing for a telephone interview). During the conversation, we agreed that we would be informed about the results after a week. I do not receive any information. After three weeks I wrote an email asking what the results were. I received a response confirming that I was approved and hired. We agreed on the time of the Skype talk (Friday), when the next actions were determined (my departure from the current job, training, working hours, salary, etc.). On Monday, on the basis of an agreement, I terminated the current employment relationship. At the same time, I received an e-mail from Victoria Salinieka that in order to postpone leaving the workplace, the 'headquoters' had changed the requirements, everything should be postponed. I replied that, in accordance with our agreement, I had already terminated my employment and could not change anything. In response, Victoria confirmed that in this case, I would be hired. On Tuesday, I received an e-mail offer from a Customer Service Specialist, which I must confirm in order to be able to coordinate everything with the head office in Hong Kong. So I took the formalities again and was on my way to sending confirmation with some questions / clarifications on Wednesday morning. To which we received a reply around 19:50 in the evening - the offer has been canceled. Victoria can no longer be contacted - phone is turned off, Skype is not answering. I send the e-mail with an agreement to explain what it means. I received an answer - we cannot accept you for work. I have left my previous job to start work at Milkyway Distributions immediately, but as a result I have lost my job.
