Inheritance Scams
The reports on the scam that is old as the internet itself, inheritance scam, are frequent among users from all over the world. The scammers that use the “inheritance scheme” follow the same pattern: they claim that there is a distant relative of a recipient of the scam letter who happened to have died and left a vast sum of money. The victim of the scam is then lured into paying for the service that would “deliver” the inheritance to him. The fee is required to start the process of inheritance delivery, and this fee is usually a relatively small sum, somewhere from $10 to $50. No wonder that many users fall for the scheme and send the money to the scammers. Complaints of inheritance schemes report the exact way they were tried to be duped into paying scammers. The ways of the latter differ and can be very imaginative. Users exchange experiences and making the internet a safer place for everybody. How come these scammers never got caught? Cause the user is actually voluntarily sending the money to a recipient.
