Semi Bullion Purchase
1
I contacted Lear Capital as I thought I would be safe buying from a reputable company. This was my first investment on silver and felt I could trust your company. after a long tutorial of the different types of silver purchases available through your firm, I decided to purchase the Semi Bullion Collector coins. I specifically asked if the silver content was 1 Troy Ounce in Each Coin and was told yes by your representative. Upon hearing this I decided to make a $5000.00 purchase. After waiting and finally receiving my coins, I decided to weigh each coin separately after removing them from their respective cases. I quickly realized that the coins were mis-represented. Not a single coin weighed 1 oz. The coins weighed on average in the 26 gram weight. A few of the coins weighed as little as 26.42 grams. Overall I was shorted 7.29 grams. Although this was a relatively small amount of weight, it totaled $265.50 being shorted based on the cost of $36.42 per coin that I paid for. To add insult to injury, when I called to bring up the incorrect order, I was told that this is what I had ordered and there was nothing Lear Capital could do for me. Since this purchase, I have purchased an additional $20, 000.00 from Lear Capital competitors and received exactly what I Paid for. I really regret that Lear Capital could not or would not make my purchase correct. I had really thought we would have an ongoing relationship. Lesson Learned. Sincerely, Benjamin R. Gregory
