Refund for cans and plastic bottles at Murphy Canyon store

Safeway/Vons needs to teach customer service! I went in during the daytime after work and after spending over $160 in groceries and was told that there was as on one older bagger who worked in the morning who could redeem my cans and bottles! Even though I had them all counted (I know how to count!) I am a teacher. I just complained. I can't tell you how many times I have had problems at this store. Last time no one could tell me the price of a cheese that rang up at 9.89 for a few ounces and it took a half-hour for them to take it off my order because the person in charge said they had to scan the item after I got tired of waiting for the clerk to return. I had explained to the courtesy clerk exactly where it was located. I read the ounces and the signs (I worked for Vons many years ago when they cared about the customer). I was a checker for 16 years and the customer was always right in those days. I was also a bookkeeper, in charge of the store at night, and a customer service rep when they had those! I only shop there because it is close by. I am going to try to go elsewhere! I'm have never heard such nonsense! I already called, but this should be public!
