Unethical behavior, overcharges, rip off
2
Back in July of 2021, I went to Pearle Vision located in Robert Street, West Saint Paul, MN 55118. I showed my tinted glasses and a prescription to the Service Rep. I asked her if it was possible to use the prescription and removed the tinted glasses to make clear glasses. She said yes. I asked her how much was going to be the charge. She told me $100.00 dollars. I asked her if she knew my Health insurance could cover. She told me she was going to check. Shortly after, she told me that my insurance was going to cover. I gave her the tinted glasses and the prescription. About a week ago, I received a notice from my Health insurance Company stating that the charges were denied. Base on the bill it was issue to my Health Insurance, I was totally shocked to learn that Pearle Vision charged more than $374.00 dollars. I called Pearle Vision three times, but they did not answer the phone. I left a message, my message was not responded. I went to the site and when I talked to a Service Rep, he told me that I had to pay the money. He asked me for my social security number. I called Pearle Vision in Eagan, told the service rep to deliver the message to the owner of the company. Instead an unknown Service Rep called me only to tell me I had to pay the money. She did not listen to what I had to say. I learned based on this experience that the Service Rep lied to me. Now I understand why she decline to give me a receipt.
