My Washing Machine is less than 3 years old and has an extended warranty. The number to call leaves me on hold indefinitely with no sense of anything further happening. After waits of 30-45 minutes and calling back the exact same thread of inane hold music begins and plays again. No "Thank you for holding" no "We'll be with you shortly" nothing, human or automated. Meanwhile I have clothes in the washer, no way to open it, and no effective way to contact the Maytag warranty company to even set up an appointment. My local dealer will come, in 3 weeks, and charge me since he only warrants what he sells. My extended warranty sold by Maytag cost me several hundreds of dollars that I am out with little hope of resolution.
