Caution - Buyer beware when purchasing upholstered furniture at Jordan's. The expectation is that you are purchasing better quality furniture than you would at a discount furniture store. That I can assure you is not the case! Shortly after purchasing a matching three piece living room set, we started to see that the seams had started to unravel and/or break. We had also purchased their 5 year insurance plan in the event that we were to have a problem. So after filing the necessary claim(s), repairmen came and the seams were first sewn again and then later were told that the fabric had frayed and could not be repaired. This occurred first on the loveseat and then later on the sofa. When we were told about the sofa, we discovered that the fabric had been discontinued and the line of furniture was no longer available. Even though it had been only a matter of months, we were unhappy to learn that we could no longer 7get a matching sofa. Jordan's had no recourse but to offer us a credit for the sofa to be used for a replacement. This was done, and again within the first few months, problems were discovered. The motorized components for the headrest had started to screech and eventually fail. Also seams again were fraying and/or breaking. One seam was discovered that had never been sewn. Another claim was made, and provided a fix that was short-lived. Recently, the same components have failed again. Also there is internal structural damage to a "stretcher" requiring the cushion to be removed and repaired in their shop. We are currently waiting for it to be returned, and are not being accommodated in any way. Today, was the fifth time that a claim has been necessary in 3 and a half years. We were also told that a sixth claim would be necessary to replace a spring that had just recently broke in the recliner. The last piece of bad news is that although you purchase a 5 year insurance policy, it only covers the upholstery for 1 year. This is not highlighted at the time of purchase, and as a result we are going to be left with each piece showing significant material damage.
