Freezer repair

Within 8 months of purchase of a new freezer the compressor blew. I filed for a repair, received confirmation, then was told by the third party repair company that I was out of their service area. Frigidaire claimed they were the only company in my area to service my warranty. After multiple phone calls the company eventually came to tell me what I knew, that the compressor had blown. Then ordered the part and we had scheduled repair services in three weeks. The day the service was supposed to take place, I received an email that the parts were on backorder for two months. This would put me out of warranty. After hours and multiple phone calls I eventually received an extension on our warranty. Two months later, Frigidaire informs me they are implementing a new service model and my pending repair has been canceled, so I'll have to start over. The freezer cannot be returned unless Frigidaire declares it cannot be repaired. Frigidaire claims it can be repaired, but they are not doing anything to repair the freezer. Less than one year after purchase of a brand new appliance and I've been without the use of the appliance for nearly five months. I've spent dozens of hours getting nowhere with customer service and have gotten no closer to a solution. I would happily return the appliance if possible.
