My prepaid Baggage fees

I prepaid $59 each for my family of 3 for seats selection and 1 check in baggage per person . As I checked in from SFO to Chicago, they couldnt find my free baggage. I have to purchase new ones. United also emailed me a copy of my booking summary . Now I will be flying back to SFO next week. I might be charged with 3 checked in baggage again.
