Pay Off Reporting Delay

*I made every payment early. *I paid extra toward the principle between some of the payments. **When I called to pay-off the loan (8 months early) I found that they didnt apply any overpayments or extra payments to the principle balace of the loan - so I Saved Nothing on the interest. **The payoff and all prior payments were made by phone and taken directly from my checking acct...then payments were credited immediately during each call. ***They reported to the credit bureau within 10 days BUT they reported it as Acct Closed without noting that it was paid-in-full and in good standing - Which Tanked my credit score by 30 points... Causing a problem with an awaiting new car purchase. Aargh! ****When I called them with Questions and my Request to Report my Pay-Off more Approprately, Their Response was, " All loan pay-offs are sent to audit for 30 days prior to reporting it as a pay-off." Grrrrr! ****After all was discussed I was assured that there is no way to speed up the audit, no matter the case, even though all payments were collected and confirmed. *AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN*
