Complaint about a member of your staff I.e. the Manager at your Heeley Retail Park branch.

Last week I visited the above store as I had ordered a printer on line. I should have taken the advice of my brother and not bought a printer from Currys or an HP one. He had advised me to buy a reasonably priced Epson. However, I had seen the HP on line and it looked a reasonable price. I then decided not to have the HP and went to the store to advise them that I no longer wanted the HP. I dealt with a very kind helpful salesman, who said that if my existing HP printer did in fact work, maybe just buying the appropriate cartridge would work in it thus avoiding the expense of buying a new printer. So I decided to take his advice and just get the cartridge. As per usual for most of your stock, the correct size cartridge was out of stock and needed to be ordered. I had been contemplating buying a new tv to replace my ageing one and looking around the store, saw an LG which was the size I wanted and a reasonable price. So I went home considering this tv. The following day having considered this model of LG tv and having been advised of all its features and the fact that for the size I wanted it was the best one on the market. That may have been salesmans patter, just to secure a sale. However I decided to order it there and then. I received an e.mail to say that the cartridge was ready for collection from Monday evening. I was unable to collect it then, but was passing yesterday so called in. I had made a note of the order number for the cartridge. I had to pass the shop yesterday, so called in. I knew that I would have to take a note of the order number and the card with which I had purchased the cartridge with me to collect it. On arriving at the store two young salesmen were at a desk, I explained that I had had a message ad or two earlier that the cartridge was ready for collection, butbthat it had transpired that my HP printer was actually broken. I therefore didnt want the cartridge and my money refunding. I said I had been away from home all day without my I.pad on which I ordered my stuff abd I didnt know whether an e.mail had been sent to me that the tv was ready for collection. I was told yhstvI would need the order number and the card with which I had bought the items I remember the last 4 digits of my card. I have 2 bank cards which I use and didnt know which I had used. I said I would go home, Check for an e.mail confirmation and bring both my cards and would be back in about 20 mins. By the time I returned, it was just after 6.00 pm and these two young guys were nowhere to be seen. It was purely by chance that I slipped my I.pad into my bag and took it with me. I was then greeted by a salesman with the name ANDY on a name tag on his chest who asked me if he could help. I explained I had come to collect the two items and had written the order nos down on a piece of paper together with the last 4 digits of the card that I though I had purchased with. He then proceeded to tell me I had to order. I said I had already ordered and paid for the goods. Oh he said, I had to reorder from my I.pad to get my goods from the stockroom at of the store. By this time I was getting really annoyed and flummoxed. So he took hold of my I.pad and said Ill go and do it manually myself so off he went. His attitude was completely out of order andvmost unhelpful compared to all the other salesmen I had dealt with. There was a young assistant standing by who had seen and heard the scenario and how upset I was getting. I told her about the attitude of this Andy and she said I know I am leaving this is not the best place to work. When he came back he said the card number I had given him was right for one item but not the other. So I gave him the last 4 digits of my other card which proved right. As I say, his customer service skills were non-existent. It was mentioned by him in passing that six customers were waiting and all had arrived at the same time of 6.00 pm. I told him that that wasnt my fault and they should have more staff. I am not one usually to complain but his attitude was bang out of order and as a 75 yr old lady not used to and will not tolerate being spoken to in the manner in which he did to me. Then I had to go to the Customer Service desk to sort out a refund for the unwanted cartridge which was another shambles. I have dealt with the lady who was having to do this before and she has always has been and is kind and helpful. Even she was exasperated by the system of getting a refund as the system kept crashing and giving different passwords which she needed to access my refund. As I say, I am not one who usually complains or makes a fuss, but the attitude of this Andy was completely out of order and unfounded and really upset me. It is for that reason that I want this guy to be brought to task by the highest powers that be and hauled over the coals for his completely unacceptable attitude in dealing with me a 75 yr old customer. I will never ever buy anything from Currys again. I have learned my lesson and should have gone elsewhere in the first place to buy my goods. This guy Andy is not fit to be in the role of Shop Manager if this is the way he deals with customers. I would very much appreciate the courtesy of a reply to my complaint. As an aside, a gentleman at the side of me whilst waiting at the Customer Service desk was returning a faulty tv which kept switching off. As he had had it for just over 30 days, the rigmarole he was having to go through to get it replaced or money refunded, self diagnosing the fault himself sounded beyond belief. I just hope and pray that nothing goes wrong with this tv that I have just bought, as by the sound of it the hoops one has to go to get a replacement or refund would really finish me off.
