I finally found a good number to contact Clairol. Spoke to a very nice customer service representative, told her what happened and she immediately sent me a $10 coupon to purchase another one. All she needed was the proof of purchase number shown in the black box of the original. one i purchased. hav User's recommendation: Call customer service.
