I spent $1001 on a seat heater repair in my murano

Our 2017 driver seat heater and cooling stopped working. The thermal seat blower had an internal short. My wife has a bad back and this option is important to us so we agreed to the repair cost however i would normally not spend so much on a non drivetrain or operational issue. We still have a 2012 murano we gave to my daughter never had an issue with that seat heater. Going online we see many people complaining of the same issue with 2015 Muranos and later. Is this something that qualifies as a recall? Is there any way to receive some recovery on this costly issue. v User's recommendation: Recall.
