One of the stops on our guided trip in Thailand was at a Jade factory and store. You would think that if Gate 1 put this on our itinerary it would be an OK place to purchase something. My spouse purchased a jade ring for $700.00. Recently she decided to have some of her jewelry appraised. After two different appraisers we were informed that the ring was a fake and only worth $5.00. THANK YOU GATE 1. I wonder how much your tour guide got. Don't get me wrong we have had two wonderful trips with Gate 1 but this was a serious disappointment. We will never use this company again. User's recommendation: If you use Gate 1 and they take you to a shop or jewelry don't purchase anything and if you purchased any jewelry at one of their stops have it appraised.
