Coffee pot – new – leaking

I have received the second thermal carafe as the first one was leaking puddles of coffee each time we poured a cup, no matter how careful we were. The second one is better but still can't pour a cup without having to wipe dripped coffee off the counter. I'm not sure if it's leaking from the cover or the seam. It's hard to hold it high enough while pouring to tell which it is. This is getting old! User's recommendation: Don't buy unless they fix the problem.
