Resolved: Help with pool pump warranty

2

Update by user Jul 17, 2021 Pentair never contacted me. However, the retailer I bought it through, Doheny.com replaced the pump free of charge.. Original review posted by user Jun 17, 2021 A pool pump I ordered arrived with a large crack on it. It hasn't been installed so I couldn't register it to begin the warranty process. Pentair obviously does not want people calling customer service, because I could not find the number on their website, so I found it through pissedconsumer.com. When I called I was quickly dismissed and told I would have to deal with the retailer I ordered it through. That may be the way this is supposed to work, but there was no offer to help me with that, no way to prove that it was ok when it left Pentair, not even an apology for my weeks of inconvenience. Now I am afraid that the retailer is going to tell me I have to work with the manufacturer. We'll see. User's recommendation: Maybe pay more and order parts through your local pool store so they can deal with Pentair.
