Resolved: Upset Customer Wasted Time

Original review posted by user Oct 23, 2020 I wouldn't even give this company one star from the telephone prompts taking 10+ minutes to get to an actual person to the wasted time to convert loan with escrows to without escrows. These people don't have a clue what they're doing. My wife and I have called probably 20 times in the last year about wanting to cancel our escrows so that we can handle them by ourselves. We were told we could do that and after about 3-4 months of back and forth they told us we couldn't do that. So wife and I talked about it and decided to look into getting a refi with a local bank or credit union to make it easier to deal with people on a local basis. We closed on our refi last week with a local credit union. We had a 4.5% rate with CENLAR and had 19 years left on the loan. We're celebrating now with the closing with the local credit union and a new rate of 2.60% on a 15-year loan which we get to handle the escrows ourselves instead of on the loan which makes the payments change all the time. I'm super happy this process is over now, so we don't have to deal with CENLAR, and their very disrespectful employees. User's recommendation: Don't use CENLAR.
