I made a mistake when booking my room and chose the wrong date; I immediately realized my mistake and called the hotel to cancel; they said I had to call expedia. Expedia, once called, negotiated with them to at least get a rebate, or a transfer of my reservation to the right date. They refused. I paid a hotel night in full and did not use it. They are not flexible at all. At the least they could have checked if someone else wanted to reserve my room and given me a break if it was re-booked. .... User's recommendation: Don't expect them to an inch in negotiations.
