On 6/24/21, I purchased a 1/2 pound of BBQ Loaf from a Food Lion in Edgewood, Maryland. I'd noticed a darkened spot on the underside of the package but paid it no mind thinking it was a small sliver of possible roast beef that was left on the slicer. On 6/27/21, I went to finish off the rest of the package when I noticed that the darkened spot was a FLY. I got sick to my stomach and just writing about it now makes me nauseous. I have contacted the store to demand that the Manager thoroughly inspect the meat cover and all slicers User's recommendation: Don't pay for lunch meat until you inspect your package first.
