Internet Disconnection with fully paid account and no warning

TDS Telecom decided to cut our Internet service even though in their system the account appeared as paid in full. They did not even try calling to verify before disconnecting the service. When pressed for an explanation they said "it takes a few days for your payment to clear in our system", when pressed about a courtesy call they said "we only call business accounts". The callousness of their business practices is mind boggling. The fiber technology is not bad but TDS customer service makes Spectrum Brands look like a good company. User's recommendation: Stay with Spectrum.
