After purchasing Maytag dryer, model# MEDC555DW, and a Maytag washer, model# MVWC565FW, I purchased a 3 year extended warranty which began immediately upon expiration of 1 year manufacturer's warranty. 1 year, 6 months after purchase of appliances, problems with both appliances. Tried to make contact with Maytag- AIG U.S. warranty division for 1 month, no rereponse warranty User's recommendation: Do not purchase extended warranty, let alone product.
