No reservation. No vacation. No refund.

Went to hotel that was booked 2 months before. Confirmation number received and deposit taken. Got there, no record of us. All other hotels all booked. Drove hours, took time off of work and got childrens hopes up. All to turn around and go home. When I finally got a hold of an actual person at Booking.com they said that my account was flagged meaning they knew and had to call me but were just too busy to get to me. Apparently this has happened to many people this summer. Still havent received my deposit back and dont think I ever will. Thanks for nothing Booking.com User's recommendation: DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM.
