We opted for the faux wood blinds from Allan + Roth (purchased from Rona in Canada) and before long I noticed some of the horizontal vinyl blades were warping in a C shape. I figured it was something I could live with. Then the melting happened. Turns out these blinds do not do well in the window. What a disappointment! The cheaper, non Allan + Roth, 1 vinyl blinds we put in the other windows (on the same side of the house and exact sun exposure) are perfect. Called Rona where we got them and got told to contact Allan + Roth, from the looks of it, it seems to be a US company owned by Lowes. We shall see what happens when I am able concontact them.
