Poor business processes; deceptive practices
1
Ordered a plant in a basket for delivery on a Monday; could not select next day delivery, so I 'settled' for two day delivery on Wednesday. Got an email at 7:08 pm Tuesday night that the delivery would not occur (no guarantee of when it would be delivered). The email stated that I did not answer their call about the delivery...the message (call) was recorded AFTER the email. I work for a company and do not work at 7:08 pm. My order reflects that it is a business purchase. Majority of flowers and plants are ordered for an immediate need; in this case for 'sympathy' due to a death in the family. And, due to their policy, I CANNOT cancel; it's not an option with their process. So, you read everywhere on their site about 'guarantee' delivery, fresh flowers, but they don't tell you that is not true. They do not consider this a 'refundable' opportunity. Even though I could call a competitor TODAY and have SAME DAY delivery TODAY...I cannot because I can't get a refund. They have no accountability. This is POOR business process and NO service level. I guess they will stay in business for now, overcharging people and having 'guarantees' that are worthless and don't solve the problem. I paid a premium for ONE item to be sent in a two day window and they can't get it right. And, of the variety of choices on their site, I had to select one of only 7 that were available.
