Hello.we had a Richmond gas hot water heater we purchased at our local Ace Hardware on Feb 12 2018.It started leaking water out the bottom of the tank this past Friday only a little over 3 years old.So i went to the hardware was told it was under warranty she said she needed the model and serial numbers,i took a picture of the stick on face plate with my phone which i have.We got the new tank put in next day by a plumber had to pay him $300 as im not in good health and couldnt do it myself.He hauled the old tank that was leaking to the scrap yard for us..Then on Monday the hardware called me and said they needed the actual sticker off the old tank not just a pictire with all the numbers,wow!! What a shock cause it had already been taken to the scrap yard,and impossible to get that sticker.So now she tells me my warranty may not be valid,i cant believe this is happening,i have the actual picture with all the numbers on,and the hardware has the proof of purchase of that hot water heater.My wife and i are both on just social security,and i am in bad health,no way we can afford to have to pay over $500 on this new tank when our old one was only 3 years old.I pray you can please understand our dilemna and help us rectify this problem Please!!Thanks so much for taking time to read this,will you please get back to us on this and if you need those numbers i can get them to you just tell me how.Thanks so much sincerely,Thomas Zak User's recommendation: Always treated fairly by this company and any problems were corrected.
