Since last thursday 9-12, my Broan unit has not been cooling.I alled the Ocala brach who handles my warranty. I was told I would have a tech appointment scheduled between 12pm and 2pm the next day. I was called and told he was running late and it would now be 2 to 4pm. He showed up about 330 pm. After a short inspection of the unit he told me a board contolling the heat pump was bad keeping the blower off.He then said I can bypass the board so the fan will work, I agreed because I was desperate for A/C after my dialysis treatment It worked overnight but the next day house was heating up and no cool air blowing.The tech on call last Sat., basically diagnosed it over the phone. Noone showed up. In a later call to him I explained it wasnt working so he told me to leave it off for several hours then put the fan on and it should work,it didn't! Monday I was called by the Ocala office and told they would get me on the scedule when the parts were in. Tech called me later in the day and said he would put a temporary motor and circuir board and it would be 480+ dollars.I refused because when i asked about further labor charges for a new motor there might be some. I said forget it,come out when you had the new stuff. Tech came out yesterday,Dialysis day,after calling Service Manager.We agreed to a lesser charge 300.00 to be made in 2 payments.Tech installed damaged board and said nothing else was wrong. He left by 630pm and by 730 unit not blowing cold air.I called right away and was told a tech would come out last night,they didnt I called again about 330 this morning still no tech.I have to have a/c! This is not the first problem Ive had with unit . Fan motor went out after initial install.I just got off the phone with a tech heading to my house again. I doubt seriosly if it will be fixed today! Help I need the air fixed I have dialysis again tomomorrow. Please I beg you get this fixed and you will probably never hear from me again. I am a senior citizen who feels hes being neglected by incompetent people. Your service manager in Ocala needs to be instructed on how to handle customer relations or at least return a phone call from until now has given your company more than ample time to resolve my A/C problems!
