My experience with NeilMed Sinus Spray
1
Update by user Mar 26, 2021 NeilMed have denied that their Sinus Rinse could have any bad effect on me. I now know that I reacted to the Sodium Chloride as that was confirmed recently when I was prescribed Potassium Chloride pills. On the second day of taking only one half of the prescribed dose my throat started swelling up again. I have told NeilMed this but they just suggested that I see a doctor. There is no point in pursuing this any further as they do not want to know their Sinus Rinse could cause any ill effects at all. I guess for most people this is true, I just happen to be one of the unfortunate people who do have bad reactions to many medicines. After three days I had to stop because my throat was sore and swollen and I couldnt swallow food. I lived on ensure for the next three days for sustenance. My throat eventually eased somewhat and I was able to eat food again. Now after nearly 8 months my throat has still not healed properly. Im left with a croaky voice, and I cannot carry a tune, (I used to sing reasonably well). I definitely speak quieter now and when I have to repeat myself, which is quite often, its an effort and makes my throat sore. My ENT doctor says it couldnt have happened because of NeilMed but when I researched the side effects I realized that NeilMed was definitely the cause. I probably had a reaction to sodium Cloride but up till then I hadnt known that I suffered a reaction to that. At the time I used NeilMed nothing else had changed. I hadnt had and didnt have a cold or anything else that could account for these problems. But now it seems that Im left with permanent problems.
