!I bought several Items on 4/1/21 totaling $70.41. I go there maybe 1 time per year because it is a 100 mile round trip because I am a senior citizen and it's not easy for me to get ther. There was 1 item when taken out of carton that had a crack in the glass which was hidden to sight by the strap they used to tie it to carton. I sent them an email and 3 pictures as soon I realized this asking them to give me a credit and pay for it to be shipped back to them. I can order one online hopefully that is not broken already. I thought that with the extenuating circumstances they would do what was right. This was their reply: Hello Judy, We appreciate you selected our home décor superstore to help express your personal style. We apologize you were not satisfied with your recent purchase. Returns are accepted within 60 days of purchase only if unused, with original receipt and packaging. If you've lost your receipt, just bring the credit or debit card you used to make the purchase and we can still assist you. If the merchandise is opened or used, just talk to your local store and see what they can do to help, there might still be some options. We are unable to accept returns on mattresses, adjustable sofas, futons, pre-cut fabric or items ticketed all sales final. ALL Returns/Refunds must be done in store only. We apologize for any inconvenience. This was my reply to that: This was In Home's responsibility not to display a damaged product to sell. The damage was hidden by the tie that was used to secure it inside of the box. Now I have to drive 50 miles back to Greensboro to replace it? That is not a solution. Are you going to reimburse me for my travel, time and effort to drive back to Greensboro (100 miles round trip)? On top of all of this I'm a senior citizen which makes it even more difficult for me. I sent pictures the same day I bought it. This is in no way the fault of my own. I am sending copies of this to corporate so they can see how poorly I have been treated. It seems, like most companies, when there are extenuating circumstances, that an exception would be made. You broke it, you are responsible. So much for your hassle-free returns as state on the receipt! User's recommendation: Don't trust their hassle free return policy.
