My mother has being going to this doctor's office since 2012. She was referred to them through a program sponsored by the American Dental Association for people with a disability that does not have dental insurance. This is suppose to be a non profit clinic that offers extreme discount rates for dental work. My mother need the full front of her mouth done and was giving a price of approximately $3000.00 which she started paying on got the post installed in her mouth and was told that it would take about six months to heal and then the mold would be taken and teeth installed. Now she comes back when informed that her bill is not over $8000.00 because they did not charge for numerous things before. Now she has a partial put in prior and it was big and horrible and she complained since day one and was told that is the way is has to be. She was not offered another option in replacing it. She went to several dentist that laughed and said that Dr. McLaurin should be ashamed of herself installing such teeth in her mouth so again my mother asked to have it removed. Any other dentist from day when you state that it does not look right would remake but because of the program she is coming under she is being treated as a second class citizen. She has even been informed by staff members that Dr. McLaurin has made many poor statements about her on how is she able to be neat and clean but can't afford to pay full dental payments. Recently my mom went back and was informed that he bill more than doubled. When asked "Johnathan" the receptionist for a copy of the old bill he told her his computer was broken just to come back a few minutes later from the back with paperwork with things crossed out and written over with new amount. Johnathan claimed they thought she had insurance so was quoted this wrong about all this time. Now speaking of insurance she was told to sign up for certain type of dental insurance that they took which she paid 17.00 per month for two years just to come back and tell her that they don't take it and billed her as a cash customer with more than double the bill that she has agreed upon all this time. In the last week the temporary bridge has broken three times and my mother has been unable to eat being a diabetic and a heart patient which can cause her blood sugar to drop. Johnathan each time has informed has been extremely rude to her and when I contacted him to inquire about her bill, her being treated poorly and my concern about her constantly having to come back because of her teeth keep breaking he hung up the phone on me. I would like someone to look into this dentist office for how they treat their clients, their billing practices and discrimination."
