I just wanted to transfer a relatively small amount of money from my account to another bank within the state to buy an old car. It took days. I could have had a cashier's check cut, mailed and deposited in the time it took for this EFT. They took the money out of my account just fine. They took forever to deposit it. The only reason I used Xoom as it was a PayPal company and they advertised "almost instant" transfers. What a crock. I'm still waiting for them to deposit money that the removed from my account days ago. . User's recommendation: Just get a cashier's check cut and mail.
