Signed up for Prevention magazine for 1 year with the promotion of getting 12 FREE health reports . First magazine came and then NOTHING. Unfortunately I paid my $24 bill as soon as it came . a day after i paid by charge card on their site I saw an offer for the same term for only $8 , so I called to cancel. They will not let you talk to billing Cust. service sends them a message ... went through this for several days . Dumbo employee named " QUEENIE" guess what color...sends an email with poor grammar & spelling saying I.." would get a full refund " Had to ask "QUEENIE" the dollar amount and she said it would be for $24 . wait a week and called my credit card co. and refund is only for $20.13 not $24 and I still have NOT received my 12 free health reports..... I just called again and spoke to a manager at Hurst publications ( prevention) who said a check for the difference was MAILED 4 days ago & I should receive it in THREE WEEKS, no answer as to why I did NOT get an email updating me, as to this and When asked why they did not just refund it to the credit card ,I got no answer & as for why I never got the 12 free reports she said " there was a big demand for them & they will be going out in TWO MORE MONTHS ! Like I told her it was their choice to run the promotion and since they are the ACTUAL PUBLISHER this is a joke ! We teach our teenagers to PLAN ahead , but America's biggest publisher can't seem to do that ,nor do a simple refund, without several emails & phone calls. Maybe I should have seen this coming, A LITTLE Family HISTORY ... Randolph Hurst owned Hurst publishing his daughter was Patty Hurst who joined a TERRORIST group in the 70's that bombed government buildings killed a few people & also robbed NUMEROUS banks . His daughter is on cameras talking about this and filmed in bank robberies , she was found GUILTY be a jury of her peers and served SEVERAL YEARS in a FEDERAL PRISON and ended up marrying her prison guard, boy talk about a success story.... I guess she succeeded 100% in getting back at her parents and the wealth & privilege she was raised with. This is the special STUPIDITY that HURST PUBLISHING is now exercising .
