Unqualified closure of CC account

IN the middle of the pandemic, I got a letter stating I'd not get a new card. I didn't think much of it at the time. I thought it was just panic banking and after this all blew over I would probably get a new card. I was running a high balance at the time and did participate in payment deferral for a couple of months. NONE of my payments, CITI and otherwise were ever late going back 15 years. When I finally paid that balance off, I found the account had been closed. When I took the card, I was hesitant to get involved with CITI in the first place, but I wanted certain travel benefits, so I took it and I traveled. Thank God I traveled when I did. Anyway, now they've impacted my utilization and taken away all my rewards FOR NO POSSIBLE REASON. I am now researching tax collection records to find where the executives live so that I can reach out to them. All I get from their employees is useless apologies and boiler plate documents, and they've refused to reopen my account despite a 700+ score and no delinquencies relative to any of my accounts. I'm also contacting the CFPB. I'm not really interested in using CITI's card actively again, but I want the impact to my utilization corrected and I want my rewards back. Simply put, CITI is an untrustworthy business.
