Unexceptable customer service

My mother and I visited the Dover, DE store on Sunday 10/27/19. When we first got there the sign said seat yourself. We seated ourselves it was about 3 other booths that had customers. We waited for a while for someone to come over and acknowledge us by giving us menu's, which I found out later on that was the general manager. The waitress finally came and took our order. I ordered shrimp alfredo and my mother ordered the salad and asked for the dressing on the side. The waitress brought our food out but didn't come back to check on us to see if we needed anything else. My mom didn't like the dressing and wanted to change it I had to waive down another waitress to help us. When I brought the issue to the manager he didn't apologize and stated that the waitress comes back 5-7 minutes, we both stated that she never came back at all. Then I asked for the general manager. He gave us 2 deserts no additional charge. I just wanted to bring it to someone else's attention as well so it doesn't happen again. I feel that the first manager should have handled the situation a little better and with the amount of people that were in the restaurant there should have been no reason for us to be waiting for menu's or for the waitress to come back to us and ask if anything else was needed. I feel if you guys don't get the feedback then you will never know.
