Unable to add person to my account

I am unable to add my friend to my account. Saturday I attempted to add him. He Got the email and instructions, but they didn't work. He's an engineer and still couldn't make it work. He has been added to my account but no access because he can't get the pasword to allow him in. I had the same problems when I signed up as a NEW customer. Please help. User's recommendation: Not sure.
