Trying to prevent more victims — Do NOT Buy!! This is a SHAM!

(1)A Marketplace broker had sold this specific healthcare package to us with the knowledge that we are a family with pre-existing conditions. WE talked in detail about our needs and had to fill out many forms to state and re-state this. Having an insulin-dependent diabetic husband who is a cardiac patient, and a son with life-threatening allergies, we do not take our health, nor our health coverage lightly. Top-notch health coverage is first and foremost for this family. All of this was discussed and documented in great detail. Lie. The sold policy does not cover pre-existing conditions. (2)Between the three of us, we see up to five specialists a year. As mentioned above in (1), there are pre-existing conditions which was discussed in length with the broker. The broker explained that we could see any doctor up to four times a year. Lie. The sold policy does not cover visits to specialists. (3)Along with doctors visits, the broker stated that a minimum of 80% of the costs of all hospital visits would be covered. Prescriptions, on the other hand would only cover up to 80% of only generic brands. Lie. The sold policy did not cover any prescription costs, generic or otherwise. The policy also failed to cover pre-operative tests performed at the hospital. Obviously, the surgery must now be postponed. (Looking over the rest of the reviews here on this site, it looks like this company barely pays for anything. All of these other customers were victims to the same fraudulent practices,) (4)The documentation which was eventually provided, stated that Customer Service would be available 24/7 online, and during the limited hours of Monday to Friday between 7AM and 6PM. In fact, even a cancellation of the policy would have to be conveyed directly over the phone. Lie. This insurance has little to no Customer Service support for the policyholders. Attempting to reach a customer representative on the phone requires up to six calls, lengthy on-hold times (We give up after 37 minutes. My doctors office waited a full hour before reaching a representative.) Call back requests take up to 4 days, as do emails (the supposed online support). I was only able to reach their Customer Service via a separate number found on my credit card receipt. The billing representative with the Dental plan contacted the policy representative via their internal billing lines -- NOT via the route provided to the policyholder. Only because I stated my desire to cancel this plan and request a refund, the call was then escalated to the supervisor Ryan. He neither cared about the deception nor the fraudulent sale. Ryan's response to me was a pure "gaslighting" exercise for him. He acknowledged nothing and insisted that I had no recourse since I signed a document authorizing the charges even if the services were being misrepresented. Additionally, for the purposes of this documentation, he REFUSED my request to provide a last name, as well as, a phone extension for additional concerns. There is neither customer support nor accountability on the company's part. [Looking back, I now realize that the only other call with a supervisor (back before the coverage began) had the same abrasive, aggressive and abusive tone. I wish I had caught this telltale sign of a con artist then.] (5)The broker stated that since this was a new policy, there would be no coverage of a standard office visit for the first 30 days. We considered this acceptable as a normal practice like a probationary period, if you will. Lie. Apparently, this policy can be canceled within the first 30 days only, without penalty. But this is a deceptive practice. I would submit that if a policyholder cannot see a doctor during the first 30 days, then the policyholder would never know that none of the services would be covered until the company already stole a month or two of the policyholder's money. As detailed above, there was an INTENTIONAL AND WILLFUL DECEPTION of what was being sold a FRAUDULENT SALE of what the policy covered. I even challenged the supervisor to revert back to the original call any recording would prove that the broker knowingly and willfully sold a policy that would not cover our needs. The superpervisor didnt care. Their disinterest in how their policy is sold further proves that they are conducting their business with unethical practices. (From the rest of the reviews here on this site, it looks like the policy barely pays for anything. This is criminal). Because we intentionally delayed seeing our doctors for a month, we never learned that the policy covered nothing until it was too late. We find ourselves now fully liable for doctor visits, prescriptions and hospital tests all performed during the second month of having this policy. This deceptive company has failed to cover any of our medical costs. And this is on top of the two months totaling almost $2000 paid to Strata, aka Adroit. This is a garbage company. Stay Away Stay Away Stay Away. User's recommendation: Walk Away and Don't Look Back!! This is a SCAM! This is FRAUD!
