This franchise of Servpro does NOT provide restoration services even though they advertise that they do.

When I chose Servpro of West Pensacola (owner Steve Stone) to dry out my home due to a broken water pipe which occurred on 11/16/19, I was told they had a general contractor that would provide the restoration of my home. After I engaged their services, I found out that this general contractor Handyman Matters (owner Richard Compton) is in no way a part of or responsible to Servpro. The mitigation process (drying my home out) went fairly smooth and was completed by 11/25/19 but my home is left torn up and the general contractor who met with me on 11/25/19, stating he would get the estimate for repair to me if not the week of Thanksgiving, the first of the following week. He assured me that repair work would begin the week following Thanksgiving. So, here it is the end of that week 12/6/19 and I haven't received an estimate. Richard Compton hasn't responded to texts sent to his cell. I called Servpro and was told, we gave the message to his secretary and that's all we can do. I wish now that I had listened to my insurance company and used the company they recommended which provides mitigation and restoration services. I am sharing this in the hopes that someone else might avoid the deceptive advertising practices and false sense of becoming "whole" again by using their service.
