They got me

All of the same as written here happened to me too. They got me to the tune of $2000. They wanted a copy of a check. I said no. Tried to charge my card and it wouldn't go through. They had me call my bank to get an approval, which I stupidly did. After all was said and done, I felt it was all really "off". I changed all of my passwords (they told me there was no need to since my connection was now secure), closed the credit card and now I'm trying to open a fraud claim with my bank. This company called me both last night after it all happened and then again first thing this morning (before 8am on a Sunday) to see if my computer was ok. I feel like such an idiot for falling for it. My gut was telling me it was fraud, but I was also in panic mode as my computer was completely locked up. I think that's what they are counting on... people who don't know computers panicking and calling them for a fix to their problem.
