The worst loan ever.

1

I too have horror stories from Nationstar. After procuring a mortgage at 26 things changed .My mortgage was sold several times and I divorced.I made all the payments myself.I got sick and had to have a couple of surgeries, and was off work for months.I tried to keep up but it was impossible. When foreclosure was imminent I called and spoke to a rep and we made an agreement of around $1000 to stop the sale. I WROTE DOWN NAMES ,I WROTE DOWN dates and times and kept my Western Union receipt and I asked her if all was well and would I be able to sleep that weekend as the sale on the courthouse steps would have been on that coming Monday and she assured me that everything was taken care of.Sure it was.And my former Mother in law called me on Monday night to tell me that my house was sold that day on the courthouse steps.I said no, that I had taken Cate of it and she said, I was there and they did sell it.The next day a truly horrible man came to my door and told me I had 10 days to get out. When I said something was wrong he said Yeah lady you didn't pay your bills and now your house is mine.I almost died right then.I was really blessed because I went to the right lawyer with all my papers and it was rescended. From what I heard.only God saved me because no one I spoke to had ever heard of anybody getting their house back and I now had a lawyer bill to pay .I decided that a loan modification was my only chance to save my roof over my head and they took MONTHS to get it set up and I don't know how many times I sent the papers that they needed. It was finally approved, but then there was a 3 month trial of exact payments that had to be sent just so and not one day late on all 3 payments. I made them.I saved my Western Union receipts with dates and times and amounts.They.actually took part of the first payment to complete an escrow negative and made it look like I didn't send the correct amount but they didn't even tell me that,so the 2nd payment was split to complete the first payment and it went the same way on the 3rd one too and I never even knew...for months.Well, they approved the loan modification and said they would be sending me everything I needed to fill out and sign and that I would have 10 days to look it over, but to be sure that I sent it back by the stated date.I got the loan papers on Friday and along with it postage paid envelope. They called and said I needed to send it right away and to be sure to put it in the mail by monday!.Well I read every word.My loan balance should have been about $7000.INSTEAD IT SAID THE PRINCIPAL WAS $23000 because of all the late fees and interest and that when I signed it all those fees and interest would become principal. But wait, I had been paying 26 years on a 30 year loan and they modified it for 40 More years at $665 a month more than my loan payments had ever been even with a 13 percent adjustable rate interest and that I would have to pay this until I was 99 years old so 65 years to pay off an original loan of $45000 and that I couldn't pass it on to anyone in my will unless it was paid in full. That was it.I know they thought I couldn't or didn't read it and that I must be a moron.I didn't sign and I had furious calls that were really rude trying to just have me hand over the property for NOTHING so that I wouldn't show slow or late payments.I didn't do it and waited for Simon LaGree to come tie me to the railroad tracks. So I decided that a chapter 13 was the only way That I could pay for my house without being foreclosed on.When I called to find out what my pay off was I was told that it had been CHARGED OFF and they didn't have record of the amount and they wouldn't send the court or my lawyers an amount that showed my debt a d they wouldn't get back to me or my lawyers.I paid the rest of my debts and the courts dismissed my bankruptcy with me still owing the rest of my lian. Then I found out that they had sold it to one of their own companies as A BAD DEBT.Then I looked hoarded at every monthly statement and saw in black and white why my PRINCIPAL had gone up so much. They CHARGED $12000 to refinance my loan and had already added it to my PRINCIPAL before I even signed the loan modification papers.I guess they made the assumption that I would and didn't wait for my signature.Yes,I have all the papers that show what they did right on my statement but I hadn't understood what they were doing. So, now I am in limbo land and I have no idea what they are thinking of doing now.My lawyers didn't even know how to make them file a claim on the debt so that I could pay it off and now I don't even know how much I really owe..How can I even pay what I owe and get the deed and title to what I rightly have been living in for almost 40 years.Where do I go from here
