I have had 2 separate occasions where my 2006 E500 has stalled and left me on the road almost rear ended. Thank god both times I was able to make it to the side of the road shut engine off (apparently resets the dash) and was able to drive home. Both times they happened approx. 1 month apart. I called the dealership and they said they could not do anything since there was nothing coming on the dash. "WHAT" So I have to die first. 2nd time I took my car in and they could not find anything wrong. Now my lights are coming on saying Brake lights out. I just in November had the whole SBC Braking system replaced supposed to be a recall but was told by MSBUSA that it was not covered car just made it out of the 10 year mark. I have complained several times regarding this car no one will listen. Unbelievable! I will never own one of these cars again. Every day I feel I am taking my life in my own hands.
