I was making my parents car payment for them. I paid the payment by phone every month for three years. When the accidentally put the car payment in my parents checking account, which my parents spent because they didn't realize it. They did not realize this mistake for three months until I caught it when they told me my payment was three months late. My parents are older and need help with their finances. Which is why I pay their car payment. We went into the bank and made payment arrangements for my folks to pay off the payment. They said they would not report it as late because it was their mistake. Well. That didn't happen They now say they have to report it on their credit even if it was their mistake. How terrible to do to people who have banked there for years.
