Shentel Took My Modem and Charged Me For A New One!

I called Shentel tech support because my internet connection kept dropping. They said theyd need to send a person to my home to check it out. The tech at my house said he couldnt find a problem with anything, but hed swap out the modem to see if that would help. I still had connection issues for at least two weeks after that and they still happen intermittently. A month later, I get charged for the new modem. The tech didnt say anything about being charged a fee and took my old modem (which I had already paid for) with him when he left. Shentel customer service wouldnt reverse the charge and wouldnt return my old modem that was my property. User's recommendation: Don't trust them!
