I bought $10,000 worth of Jeld-Wen windows on August 7, 2019. I was told there would be about a 3 week turnaround, which worked well for timing for my new house. Three weeks turned into four weeks, which was still fine as the framers still had a bit of work to do. We got a text saying that they would be delivered on September 9th. I called the local store on the 11th and was told I would get a phone call on the 13th, and I could schedule a delivery for this week. All of this was still fine as the framers were going to be ready to install the windows on the 17th. But on the 16th, we were told a story that all of the windows were broken and the local delivery company denied acceptance. We didn't get a heads up on this until we went to the store in person. As of today, the 19th, the local store STILL does not know the location or the status of the order. I have siding up, the roof on and no windows and apparently no expectation of windows to install. My builder went to the local store this morning and while he did lose his cool, he did NOT get an answer for the missing windows. I would think that Home Depot is one of Jeld-Wen's biggest customers and therefore Home Depot should have some clout with Jeld-Wen. Why can't Home Depot get an answer on this order? I've never been on this website, so I don't know if this will help, but I am a pissed consumer with another $100,000 to spend on this house. Lowe's isn't as convenient, but it is looking better all the time. The service certainly couldn't be worse.
