If you are looking to be an instructor bypass Heald College. They will hand you a WASC accredited college level textbook and syllabus tell you to teach college level transferable course. When the students cannot handle a typical college workload they demand that you lower the standard...the standard they provided you on the first day of the job and continue to ask you to lower the standard until what you are teaching is a high school level AP course that they are selling to unsuspecting students as a college level CSU transferable course. Meanwhile you as an instructor are on the hook for being responsible to provide a college level course while your bosses (who will not put their requests to lower the standards in writing) can blame the teacher for not teaching the Heald provided syllabus and text if they get called on it. If you are unethical and can sit by and watch students pay a high price for very little..Heald is for you. If you are a student you are not getting the education they have advertised or recruited you for. Save your money - go to junior college and get an education. It may take a little longer but if you ever go on to get degree you will need to retake many of your Heald classes because wisely many college have learned a Heald education isn't worth the paper your degree is printed on and therefore overall the time you spend in college will be much longer.
