Problematic Customer Service

You may have good experiences at first, but they'll fade away and become inconsistent. The company's values do not align with the type of service they provide. I've been using Firestone for all my car maintenance since 2002. After receiving generally poor service over the past 5 years, I no longer intend to use Firestone. I took the time to compare my maintenance invoices with recommended maintenance schedule of my vehicle manufacturer. In addition I looked up the services they recommended and completed on my vehicle. I noticed a trend that they'll recommend services not needed and say you absolutely need them, even when you did them a year prior and recommendations say the service should last several years to a lifetime. I also noticed a trend that after major car repairs, I often had to take my vehicle back to the shop in the next couple days because my vehicle was experiencing an issue I didn't have before or they did sloppy work. One technician after brake service did not put the caliper pins back on the brakes correctly and I almost got into a car accident on the interstate going 70 mph. The vehicle had to be towed. Firestone did not pay for my tow or offer anything for the stress the incident had caused me. When I took it back to the shop, they said sorry and sent me on my way. I complained to Firestone corporate and they sent me back to the manager of the shop who failed to address the issue. The customer service was awful. There is no accountability on these shops. Firestone is overpriced, takes forever to service vehicles, and are not honest about the needs of your vehicle. User's recommendation: DO NOT USE FIRESTONE!!
